Trans-zeatin riboside is a highly active natural synthetic cytokinin. It not only promotes cell division, stimulates stem and bud proliferation, inhibits root formation, and prevents leaf aging, but also activates gene expression and metabolic activity.
*Promoting cell division.
*Delaying leaf senescence: Trans-zeatin riboside can inhibit the degradation of chlorophyll in leaves, maintaining green color and photosynthetic capacity, thereby delaying leaf senescence.
*Promoting lateral bud growth: It inhibits the downward transport of auxin from the apical bud, thereby reducing auxin’s inhibitory effect on lateral buds, allowing lateral buds to grow normally, increasing the number of branches and leaves, and improving photosynthetic efficiency and biomass.
*Improving plant stress tolerance: Trans-zeatin riboside participates in plant responses to adverse stresses and can enhance plant resilience. Under adverse conditions such as drought, high temperature, low temperature, and salinity, the content of trans-zeatin riboside in plants changes. It can regulate plant physiological metabolic processes, such as promoting the synthesis of osmotic regulators and enhancing the activity of antioxidant enzymes, thereby mitigating damage to plants and improving their survival.
